Responsibilities

You probably
already wear badges that say ‘self-starter’ and ‘problem solver’. We like that.
We run very flat and everyone can contribute ideas, in fact, we expect it.
As a Designer at ABR, you will be responsible for the design and execution of
creative concepts for leading edge marketing and design solutions. You will work
with the guidance of Creative Leads and collaborate with strategists, UX, developers,
copywriters and project managers as a part of the creative process.

* Clean, modern aesthetic. You understand that less is more. Refinement and
* craft are everything.
*  Layout perfectionist, type obsessed.
*  Take pride in the presentation of work, ideas, files, etc.
*  Feel genuine satisfaction from being creative as a service vs. art. You bring the
* art to the service.
*  Hands-on with design
*  Excited to be part of the team and share well thought out design approaches,
* ideas, choices
*  Concepting in teams for campaigns, sites, apps, and more.
*  Can apply broad strokes, articulate a vision and relay it to others.
*  Aspire to take on more design direction and art direction.
*  Thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment.
*  Digital is perhaps a core skill set, but you enjoy the application and variety of
* print/advertising and other more traditional media.
*  You have passion for the big ideas, the core articulation, but can carry it through
* to the minutia and the delivery.
*  Know the importance of the ask and the ask+.
*  Both internally for review and externally for clients.
*  Can both articulate design rationale in slides, as well as ‘sell’ it verbally.
*  This is not about line thicknesses, or positioning, but on a more abstract,
* artistic scale.
*  Know and owns branding
*  Understand the importance of UX and how to work with it and contribute
*  Capable of documenting design
*  Middle name is Photoshop-InDesign-Illustrator
*  Keep up with technology, web and design trends.
*  Somewhat entrepreneurial. Is excited to be in a new studio and help shape the
* design team over time.
