Summary
We currently have an opening for an electrical engineer at our Newburgh, IN location. The individual selected will provide electrical engineering services to safely meet Warrick Operations' business plan by providing support to production, maintenance, and engineering.
Responsibilities
* Providing process improvements to safely meet Warrick Operations' business plan. * Creating and developing programs that will support process improvements and new electrical systems. * Coordinating all phases of assigned area electrical engineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure. * Assisting production and maintenance with equipment and process issues. * Functioning as a problem solver, applying theory and experience to develop process improvements and correctly identifying problems by submitting sound recommendations for long-term improvements of equipment and processes. * Leading and participating in process improvements with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production. * Mentoring employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process. * Working to eliminate waste through reliability improvements and monitoring processes, ensuring they are in control and meeting expectations.
Ideal Candidate
* The successful candidate will possess a B.S. in electrical engineering with 3-5 years' experience with PLC's, HMI's, AC/DC drives and motors, low and medium voltage power distribution, gauge measurement and Level II control systems OR a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 5 years' experience with the above. * Experience in leading, managing, and executing electrical projects, including design, installation, and commissioning. * Strong organizational and problem solving skills, using both theoretical and practical methods to achieve improvements or correct identified issues. * Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, possess excellent team and people skills in order to drive change, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. * Experience with Microsoft Office applications. * Experience in Root Cause Problem Solving * Experience leading capital projects * Warrick Operations experience
