AlchemyAPI is a company that uses machine learning (specifically, deep learning) to do natural language processing (specifically, semantic text analysis, including sentiment analysis) and computer vision (specifically, face detection and recognition) for its clients both over the cloud and on-premises.
Responsibilities
You’re a developer who loves to optimize process flows and leverage data to build automations. You pride yourself on the ability to move up and down the stack and enjoy tasks like setting up the database schema as much as building out the front-end. If this sounds like you, we’d love to sync up. We are looking for a full stack web developer who can help with our business analytics, customer flows and marketing site. In this role, you will work with different types of data and develop process efficiencies that generate a positive impact on the business. The right candidate sees the value that data represents and has a strong desire to utilize this asset to derive insights that improve decision making and enhance customer relationships. - Work with business and marketing team to manage business analytics data. - Integrate front-end visualization systems to derive insight from data. - Work with marketing and the evangelism team to create intelligent usage based workflows and nurture campaigns. - Implement new pages on the marketing site that improve a user’s access to information. - Write production-quality code to contribute to AlchemyAPI and Watson Developer Cloud how-to libraries and technical documentation.
Ideal Candidate
- A software development professional with a strong track record of building applications. - You thrive on taking input and guidance from multiple sources, but still love independent work. - You possess knowledge of industry standard protocols e.g. RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, etc. - You are a chameleon; you have a desire to work in a variety of programming languages and frameworks. - Passionate about code quality, debugging and unit testing. - Experience working in a GNU/Linux development environment is preferred.
