Senior Software Analyst (Middleware)

Senior Software Analyst position is part of the Middleware team that is comprised of 11 technical professionals supporting administration of PeopleSoft, GIS, Autonomy, FileNet, CA D-series and Change control software. The Senior Software Analyst plays a key leadership role on the Middleware team providing senior-level analysis and technical leadership on projects, supporting Application Services Group, and Infrastructure/Operations Group as well as other agencies throughout the county.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and communicating with developers throughout the delivery of projects. - - May be required to do software installations and maintenance, code programs and develop/deploy WEB applications.
- Establish team standards and mentor other staff using best business practices.
- Work closely with Operations Team to maintain 24/7 high-availability for middleware applications
- Provide technical support to Application Services Group and database team
- Must have a good understanding of IT infrastructure to be able to triage infrastructure issues and make recommendations for changes to infrastructure and middleware software.
- 5+ years of system administration, system analysis and application development with large-scale applications/systems.
- 2+ years of system analysis, programming and design.
- Experience working on Windows platforms designing and administering high-availability systems.
- Knowledgeable in system security
- Skilled on writing SQL statements.
- Knowledgeable in coding applications (prefer .NET and JAVA), testing, and debugging.

Additional Notes on Compensation
County Pension Plan, 11 paid holidays per year, initial 10 vacation days/yr (increases over time), additional starting grant of 7 management level paid vacation days, 4 floating holidays, and 13 sick days.
