Summary
This position has a strong emphasis on Disaster Recovery Program Management including building, implementing and sustaining the program enterprise wide. The successful candidate will need to be able to work closely with all areas of the eBay technology teams such as Architects, System Administrators, network engineers and DBA s. The candidate will also need to be able to build rapport and credibility with partner technology and risk management teams within the enterprise
Responsibilities
* Support developing, implementing and tracking an enterprise level governance DR program * evelopment and enhancement of the DR program tools and templates * Identifying and tracking interdependencies and known risks * Ensure that technical recovery strategies meet business objectives * Assist with BIA s and conduct DR gap analysis as needed * Work closely with the individual Business Unit Program Managers and Leads to assist in establishing and sustaining Business Unit level DR programs * Assist Business Unit Program Manager and Leads to mature the DR program across functional teams and disciplines * Assist BU Program Managers and leads with DR exercises * Assist BU Programs with identifying and integrating DR requirements into common department processes and project life cycles * Confirm annual compliance with Global Resiliency Policies and Standards for each of the business unit DR programs * Establish, track, and report Disaster Recovery program metrics, KRIs, and KPIs to management, executive and business unit management
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 3-5 years exposure to working with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning in an Enterprise environment * Experience in working within technology organizations and understanding IT technologies and recovery strategies * Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) * Certified Business Continuity Professional (ABCI, CBCI or MBCI) preferred * Familiarity with ITIL, IT Change Management, SDLC, and IT Project Management preferred * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
