Data Scientist Expert - Product Growth

Founded in August of 2008 and based in San Francisco, California, Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone or tablet.

We are seeking a talented and proven Data Scientist to help investigate our data to identify and execute scalable ways to grow Airbnb's community, especially in emerging markets like Asia and Business Travel. This role has the potential for massive impact on Airbnb's growth trajectory. * Build framework and define metrics to track user journey from signup to activation to retention * Design controlled experiments to measure changes to new user onboarding experience * Analyze social sharing behavior between our users to identify key influencers and optimize viral channels * Segment customers and markets to improve targeting and messaging of product features * Building machine learning model to personalize user experience across both web and mobile platform

* 5-8 years relevant experience, plus 1-2 years of management experience * Degree in quantitative field, Master's or PhD is a plus * Must have experience with statistical programming, especially in R or Python * Proven achievements resulting from data analysis of user onboarding and retention, especially via email, mobile, and retargeting ads
