Business Systems Analyst

Founded in August of 2008 and based in San Francisco, California, Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone or tablet.

The HCO Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for designing and building innovative tools that empower the global team to better fulfill our mission of recruiting and building a successful relationship with our hosts. This role will require partnering with key stakeholders both internally and externally, including Product/Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing. The ideal candidate thrives when tackling complex business and operational problems, and is motivated by improving the efficiency of a team. This position will report to the HCO Business Operations Manager.

• Meet with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and the operational workflows used to execute
• Construct detailed requirements for new internal tools and processes that will unlock operational efficiencies across the organization
• Partner with technical stakeholders (Product, ITX, external vendors etc) to build new systems that fulfill the business requirements
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and execute on tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Present your new tools and processes to a global team and develop onboarding/training that optimizes for understanding and adoption
• Develop a holistic system for feedback and improvement on existing tools

• 4-6 years experience in a product or operations analytic role, ideally at an e-commerce or marketplace company
• Extensive experience with project management involving multiple stakeholders in both technical and business roles
• Experience with languages used for querying (ie. SQL, Hive)
• Experience developing with other programming languages is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize is a must
• Deep experience analyzing business problems and developing creative solutions
• Proven track record as a great cross-functional business partner and ability to work within a matrix
• Experience training either internal or external stakeholders on a new product or system
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field of study.
