Design Engineer

• Design and integrate hardware for aircraft heater and air conditioner systems.
• Develop solutions for customer-driven enhancements/options to current products.
• Generate 3-D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Specify, evaluate, and test mechanical and electromechanical materials, hardware and subsystems.
• Generate test plans and reports, analysis documents, and other substantiating data.
• Coordinate with management and customers to determine program requirements.
• Direct the activities of other engineers, designers and drafters and check their work.
• Present design concepts and analysis at design reviews.

• BSME or BSAE degree required
• Minimum of 2 years engineering design experience required— aircraft or aircraft systems preferred.
• Minimum 1 year design experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Minimum of two years 3D CAD design experience required, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Ability to handle multiple high-priority efforts simultaneously
• Thermal or structural analysis experience a plus
• Experience in FAA certification programs a plus
