Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position will support the Manager of Financial Reporting. This person will assume duties supporting US GAAP, AIG Compliance, and Federal Government financial reporting.

This position will be expected to divide time between routine tasks and and ad manage monthly / quarterly / annual financial US close processes. The successful candidate will be expected to have a foundation in U.S. GAAP, execute the financial close and understand the SAP general ledger and the BPC consolidation tool. Provide management with monthly and quarterly updates, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment, and be an all around team player.

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting * 5 + years of accounting / reporting / audit experience * CPA (preferred) * MBA (preferred) * Big four / Private industry experience (preferred) * Knowledge of insurance industry (preferred) * General ledger experience * Consolidation experience (preferred) * Intercompany Reconciliation experience (preferred) * Ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions * Strong interpersonal skills * Presence to create an environment of teamwork and continual professional improvement * Aptitude to multi-task and shift emphasis from one project to another
