Summary
This person will join an innovative company to help drive and manage new product development throughout the product life cycle. This includes: identifying new product ideas, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and ensuring it fits within the client' s overall strategy, and working with IT, operations, sales and marketing, and the leadership team to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This position reports to the SVP Strategy and Corporate Development. This position will have contact with internal and external customers at all levels.
Responsibilities
* Work with operations and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products * Take ownership of all user and customer aspects of new products * Prepare and present market research and business cases as necessary to justify proposed solutions and business investments * Manage the development of business plans, market assessments, pricing strategies, and product positioning strategies * Oversee the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share * Gather business requirements from a variety of sources, such as customers and account managers, prioritize these requirements as part of the overall product road map, and work with the program management, development, architecture, and user experience teams to build great solutions that users and buyers will love * Work with development to create user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases, activity diagrams, business rules, and rule flow diagrams * Prioritize and order functionality based on business value * Work closely with customers, sales/marketing, design and development teams as needed on the product build, deploy, and release processes * Identify appropriate stakeholders and effectively facilitate communication in order to build solutions that move towards our vision of continuous delivery * Stay up to date on the latest technology and market trends and co-author white papers, marketing materials, and industry articles that will enhance the client’ s thought leadership * Do whatever else it takes to make your solution successful with a strong sense of accountability
Ideal Candidate
* A bachelor degree within business, software development, economics, scientific or technical background. MBA desirable * 4-8 years of product management experience in an Agile environment * Experience working closely and collaboratively with Development teams, sales and marketing management, and technical experts in UX and architecture * Proven experience handling complex, technical scope and engaging internal partners across all phases of the product life cycle * Expertise in owning business case, research, needs validation, sizing, requirements, positioning, and pricing strategies for a product * Demonstrated experience identifying and prioritizing personal deliverable to meet commitments; extremely well organized * Some travel may be required
