Network Support Technician

**Highlights of Responsibilities:** - Respond to network problems utilizing testing tools and techniques and interface with support groups to ensure escalation during outages or degraded performance. - Support installation of terminals and possess strong knowledge of network systems and management software. - Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. - Install and configure network hardware and software. - Provide network troubleshooting and support. - Provide technical support and training to end-users and administer network security. - Back up file server data/disks and Provide complex server maintenance. •Sets up new users and delete old users from the network. - May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians. - Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. - Provide effective and professional oral and written communications with internal and external contractor and government employees. - Participate in special projects as required.

**Qualifications** **Requirements:** - 5 years of direct experience - Active DoD Secret Security Clearance - CE certification required •Security+ and BCNE certification - Associates Degree or higher in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. - Working knowledge of CISCO Switches/Routers, Call Manager experience (VOIP), INFO BLOX knowledge, Brocade switches, KG175A and KG175D, understand layer 2 switching and a working knowledge of layer 3 routing, experience with remedy.
