SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - WEB SERVICES TEAM

This person will be helping us design high performance PHP based web services using existing standards, conventions, and modern Object Oriented programming techniques.

Provide guidance on the development of the AofL Web Services platform to engineers within the Web Services team. Identify, design, and occasionally develop, new features and interfaces requested by other engineering teams within the company. Review and provide specs for supporting documentation of the AofL Web Services platform. Provide training on the use of the AofL Web Services platform.

* Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team * Ability to quickly find creative solutions to difficult problems * Skilled in writing PHP code involving complex algorithms and data processing * Experience writing efficient SQL queries for MySQL by hand * Experience with Object Oriented PHP without using a framework * Strong attention to detail, rigorous in self-testing code and delivering high quality work * Linux system knowledge a plus * Analytical thinker, capable of translating business requirements, wireframes, etc into application architecture * Highly motivated, self-starter * Strong work ethic required, sense of humor a plus
