Summary
Conduct quality and manufacturing engineering assignments to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and to support the needs for the designated production unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and information regarding Quality activities and deliverables to the Manufacturing Engineer/s leading the manufacturing launch activities for the assigned NPI projects. - Schedule and facilitate proper completion of the quality NPI deliverables: - SRR+ Audits for new suppliers - Component and Sub Assembly Technical Reviews - APQP and PPAP Plans (internal and external suppliers) - Prototype and other build audits - Quality Gates - Plan and Process - Final Inspection - Plan and Process - And all other quality activities required to mitigate the scope and risk of the project - Provide troubleshooting assistance for the product, process, and procedures related to the designated production unit. - Evaluate change requests from the designated production unit. Escalate and when appropriate implement approved changes. - Participate in improvement activities: - Product quality improvements - Quality process improvements - Product cost opportunities - Perform all other related duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Required Background/Experience:** - Minimum two year college degree in a technical field, or equivalent troubleshooting / hands on experience - Strong understanding of Quality Tools and Processes - Strong Computer Skills - Strong Analytical Skills - Communicate in an effective, professional manner to facilitate teamwork - Team player with the ability to provide leadership for change and improvement **Prefered Background/Experience:** - Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering or related Engineering/Engineering Technology Degree - Proficient in the use of computer diagnostic equipment used as required to analyze machine problems * Experience with 3D Modeling Software and/or M
