Summary
AGCO is currently seeking a Global Tooling Cost Engineer to join our team in Duluth, GA and actively drive the execution of our global purchasing strategy. The Global Tooling Cost Engineer will be responsible for delivering strategic, tactical, and operational value for the Supplier Cost Analysis organization. Additionally,, the Global Tooling Cost Engineer will create value for internal and external customers through delivering detailed tooling manufacturing process cost initiatives. Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Duluth, GA area for this position. Additionally, up to 40% of national and international travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional cost improvement projects with internal and external stakeholders - Act as an advisor to Purchasing Leadership and cross functional process partners - Develop the internal knowledge and expertise on manufacturing technologies for tools - Manage large-scale cost down initiatives during and after NPI phase - Lead purchasing negotiations in collaboration with the global commodity teams - Develop and execute a tooling cost-down and design strategy - Conduct detailed manufacturing process simulations to discover cost savings - Create saving opportunities by developing new manufacturing concept ideas - Manage Global Supplier Cost Analysis projects and support the AGCO School of Purchasing process - Define, implement, and maintain standardized cost analysis systems, tools, and instruments for purchasing on a global scale
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications of the Global Tooling Cost Engineer:** - 5+ years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing role working with tooling, specifically molding patterns and/or injection molding tooling **Preferred Qualifications of the Global Tooling Cost Engineer:** - Experience purchasing tooling or negotiating with tooling suppliers - Experience working with international manufacturing site or suppliers - Experience working within the construction, automotive, agriculture, or off highway vehicle manufacturing industries **Education of the Global Tooling Cost Engineer:** - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent technical experience is required - Master's degree in Engineering is preferred
