Design Engineer for Production Support

AGCO is currently seeking an entry level Design Engineer - Production Support to join our Engineering department in Hesston, KS. The Design Engineer - Production Support will be responsible for providing detailed production line support for specific products. The Design Engineer - Production Support will also be responsible for addressing detail design changes, BOM development and manipulation, revising prints, requesting and reviewing test work, as well as ordering prototype components.

• Provide product expertise to other departments in terms of functional operation, costs, appearance, safety, maintenance and competitiveness
• Provide and evaluate possible design modifications based on a specialized knowledge of engineering applications and past experience with designs embodied in existing equipment
• Perform minor modifications to design layouts and consult senior engineering personnel to insure conformity to sound engineering concepts and usage
• Present necessary information such as drawings, specifications, and test data to those involved in production activities
• Plan and direct the development work required for design modifications
• Investigate production related difficulties pertaining to fit and function
• Ensure compliance with Product Safety Policies and Standards
• Select and modify test equipment

Required Qualifications of the Design Engineer - Production Support:

• Entry level to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting or working with Agricultural equipment
• 3D modeling experience, preferably with Creo or Pro/E

Education of the Design Engineer - Production Support:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
