Senior Product Manager for Market Research

Affectiva, an MIT Media Lab spin-off, is the pioneer in Emotion AI, the next frontier of artificial intelligence. Affectiva’s mission is to bring emotional intelligence to the digital world with our emotion recognition technology that senses and analyzes facial expressions and emotion.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the definition and delivery of the Affectivas Market Research products. Specifically, the Senior Product Manager will:

• Define and deliver products as Product Owner for Market Research using Kanban and Scrum methodology
• Define Affectivas Market Research offerings, collecting and synthesizing input from customers, partners, sales, customer success, science, engineering and executives.
• Manage the full product life-cycle
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to communicate the value that Affectiva solutions deliver to customers
• Gather, synthesize and adapt to market feedback
• Conduct Sales win-loss analysis
• Balance short-term needs and long-term goals

• 5+ years of product management experience, with significant Web and/or data experience
• 3+ years experience in the Market Research market (working in a Market Research Company or selling to a Market Research Company)
• Track record of success using Kanban and/or Scrum.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Track record of success in a small, fast-moving company
• Experience working with remote teams
• Comfortable working in a supercharged environment, taking initiative and managing multiple, at times competing, priorities
• An ability to express strong, fact-based opinions with tact and a high level of thought
• Ability to work with individuals across the organization and lead through influence, not necessarily through direct reporting structure
• Willingness to travel
• BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
