Threat Intelligence Analyst

The position will work within the Cyber Security Intelligence team and provide key cyber intelligence functions to Aetna and its affiliates.

* The position will entail both strategic and operational responsibilities for technology and intelligence processes. * The individual will define top threats impacting Aetna as correlated from internal and external sources and work with security operations, network engineering and other teams to develop and oversee countermeasures. * Strong ability to oversee the technology selections, integration, alerting and tuning of the various tools to reach the highest fidelity possible. * As we work with a number of vendors, critical skills in working with traditional and new security firms is required to provide the appropriate level of governance and accountability. * The candidate will also foster and develop highly effective collaboration between threat intelligence, security operations, security engineering and security analytics.

* Prior experience in threat intelligence or cyber hunting is a plus. Solid understanding of network security devices, protocols, routing, and services. * Experience with analysis of server, network, web and mail security events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GPEN, etc. are a plus * The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
