* Provides significant expertise on complex mechanical engineering issues and acts as a professional resource for the team. * Provides mechanical design expertise to support development of new mechanical items or improving existing ones * Performs value analysis during the product design phase while optimizing product development costs * Performs structural, thermal and flow analysis during the product design phase and interprets the results * Provides technical support for new projects and evaluates the requirements and implications * Maintains project files and appropriate records of work * Reduces costs and improves mechanical design and development processes, using best practices and professional knowledge

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment. * Demonstrated ability to work in both an R&D and production environments. * Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with technical and non-technical personnel. * Working knowledge of engineering and mechanical design principles. * Strong interpersonal and communications skills. **Required Education** * Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering **Specific Experience** * Minimum of 3 years experience in aerospace
