• Provides significant expertise on complex mechanical engineering issues and acts as a professional resource for the team.
• Provides mechanical design expertise to support development of new mechanical items or improving existing ones
• Performs value analysis during the product design phase while optimizing product development costs
• Performs structural, thermal and flow analysis during the product design phase and interprets the results
• Provides technical support for new projects and evaluates the requirements and implications
• Maintains project files and appropriate records of work
• Reduces costs and improves mechanical design and development processes, using best practices and professional knowledge

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in both an R&D and production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Working knowledge of engineering and mechanical design principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Required Education

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering

Specific Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in aerospace
