Lead Mechanical Engineer

* Develop design and products performance specification requirements. * Evaluate and select optimum design alternatives. * Determine design feasibility and assures that product designs are competitive. * Lead or conduct analysis and experiments to evaluate designs or processes. * Translate analysis and experimental results into design criteria * Conduct and review advanced CAE simulations to design or test products. * Prepare cost estimates on proposed major design products. * Assure the technical soundness of engineering programs. * Collaborate with cross functional teams. * Utilize project planning and monitoring methods to ensure timely completion.

* Bachelor/Master's degree in an Engineering or related technical discipline * 5+ years In Vitro Diagnostics industry device development. * Senior engineer with demonstrable track record of leading successful consumable based instrument development projects * Experience integrating mechanical, fluidic, electrical and electronic subsystems * Experience involving material selection, component design and specification * Awareness of assay integration * Demonstrated ability to develop products in a regulated environment and the phase gate process * Previous experience working in distributed engineering teams * Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners * Ability to analyze, resolve and reconcile ambiguous or conflicting requirements * Experience developing instruments and/or consumables for IVD market * Knowledge of international standards relevant to the development of an IVD product
