Summary
Seeking a full time Geologist with DOD project management experience in CERCLA/RCRA environmental projects to join our team in San Diego, Sacramento, or East Bay Area, California. Working under the direction of Senior Professionals, the successful candidate will manage interesting projects in the Southwest U.S., with most projects in California. This is a great opportunity to work with clients, regulators, and the companies technical experts and project teams to implement the latest engineering and remediation technologies.
Responsibilities
A candidate's resume must demonstrate each of the following experiences and capabilities: * Managing field investigations for soil and groundwater, writing and directing the production of environmental plans and reports for contaminated sites under state or federal regulations, familiarity with applicable environmental regulations, managing and interpreting laboratory analytical data, and managing the production of AutoCAD and ArcGIS files for environmental plans and reports. * Solid communication experience with clients and regulators is also a critical responsibility. * Also, geotechnical skills and credentials are an added advantage.
Ideal Candidate
* Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in geology from an accredited university. * Successful candidates must demonstrate high quality writing skills and effective team communication abilities. * Candidates must possess a valid California Driver's License with a good driving record. * Abilities to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision are essential, and California candidates are preferred (no relocation benefits are provided). **Preferred Training & Certifications:** OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER, EM-385-1-1, and OSHA 30-hr General Industry, Construction Quality Management (CQM), groundwater modeling, air quality assessment, air monitoring, and a PG license in CA.
