Summary
Aerohive Networks (HIVE) is looking for a seasoned Principal Engineer to keep our award-winning controller-less Wi-Fi systems safe from attack. The role will be responsible for software security of our Wi-Fi product line and secure integration with our cloud based network management system. Start by analyzing our implementation of current and future Wi-Fi security and authentication standards. Then take a detailed tour of our additional proprietary mechanisms. Leverage 3rdparty white hat services as necessary to have a complete and accurate picture. Then drive to make the product line safe and secure while retaining very high performance. This role involves hands-on development as well as leadership of a small but growing international team.

Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications** * Masters of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering desired; Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required * 12+ years experience in network and software security for embedded and/or distributed systems * Knowledge of and experience with relevant standards including EAP, 802.1X, 802.11r, X.509, WPA-Enterprise * Experience with RADIUS and LDAP/Active Directory * Understanding of FIPS certification process * In depth knowledge of PKI / PMI architecture and certificates * Experience with Identity Management systems * C/C++ for real-time, embedded systems development skills * Exceptional experience with product API development * Good working knowledge of security standards * Proven track record in ensuring product safety * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Current hands-on software development experience * Effective team leadership ability **Other Desired Qualifications** * 3+ years experience managing or leading small teams * Recent participation in IETF, 802.11, or Wi-Fi task groups * Experience working with and leading international teams
