Summary
AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. In this role, entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GDP), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success. This is an entry level position in a growth market delivering energy efficiency projects to a variety of clients. AECOM is a certified Energy Services Company (ESCO) and holds several Federal and municipal Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) contracts. AECOM is the prime contractor on these ESPC projects, with responsibility from initial development through final acceptance, often with multi-year service agreements for ongoing operations & maintenance and measurement & verification. The Energy Engineer supports the project development team by performing utility analysis, energy savings calculations, and energy modeling of buildings using industry standard software, AECOM proprietary software and/or Excel workbooks. Field work will be required to investigate and document facility/system existing conditions and identify potential energy upgrades.

Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements** + Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or closely aligned to Mechanical) + Critical skills include personal initiative, problem solving, communication, teamwork (especially with geographic dispersion) + Ability to deliver high quality and creative solutions in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry + Competent in one or more technical disciplines with a broad general knowledge of many aspects of engineering for the Energy market sector + Be willing to travel up to 25% + Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel + Valid driver's license required **Preferred Qualifications** + EIT certification + A passion in the areas of energy efficiency, alternative energy, and/or sustainability
