Senior Physical Therapist - Outpatient Therapy

Adventist HealthCare, based in Gaithersburg, Md., is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization of dedicated professionals who work together each day to provide excellent wellness, disease management and health-care services to the community.

The PT's responsibilities would be to evaluate, plan and implement therapy treatments as prescribed by a physician and supervises the work of assistant and ancillary staff. Adventist HealthCare Physical Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to become part of the outpatient team in Rockville.

* Evaluates patients, develops POC, performs treatments. * Schedules and manages patient, rehab care and documents charges * Documents according to established site-specific guidelines for therapy. * Supervises staff in performing clinical and departmental operations and provides feedback to management. * Demonstrates accountability for professional growth. * Participates in performance improvement activities. * Completes operational tasks according to the needs of the department. * Demonstrates professional leadership. * Communicates effectively verbally and in writing. * Assists management in financial operations of the department. * Provides support to management for staff development, program development, and recruitment/retention. * Supports research activities of department and entity. * Maintains an environment conducive to patient care and patient/staff safety

* BS/MS/DPT from an accredited program. * Current Maryland license required * Current BLS Allied Health Professional Certification Required * One year outpatient experience or 2 site specific clinical affiliations * Strong customer service skills * Able to handle a multi-task environment * Capacity to make critical judgements * Basic PC skills such as Windows NT, and Microsoft Word.
