Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) leads the HR function at a specific AHC entity and reports directly to the entity Sr. HR Business Partner. As a member of the entity leadership team, the HRBP participates in staff meetings and provides HR insights on business issues when necessary. Their actions impacts the culture and reputation of the entity they support and AHC overall. The HRBP contributes to the entity's business success by assessing and anticipating entity HR's related needs and collaborating with entity leadership, other entity HRBPs and colleagues system-wide to prioritize and address those needs thus building the entity's capabilities. Simultaneously, the HRBP will work with the Sr. HRBP and the HR Shared Service Team to ensure the congruous and effective quality of HR service delivery. The HRBP will question and leverage AHC-wide policies, practices, and tools to achieve efficiency and effectiveness through consistency. The Human Resources Business Partner approaches the work in a manner that is consistent with the mission and values of the organization, ensuring that the critical success factors are achieved (i.e. Best Place to Work, Most Extraordinary Experience, Superior Outcomes, Financial Success for Reinvestment, Valued as a Faith Based Organization, and A Growing Organization Vital to the Community).
Responsibilities
* Build and sustain strong business relationships with leadership in the entities supported; involve them in defining deliverables. * Actively identify gaps and propose and implement changes to cover risks. * Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR Shared Services to develop solutions, programs and policies. * Work with entity supported to meet or exceed all established HR metrics * Handle employee conflicts and differences by interpreting verbal/non-verbal behavior, detecting * perceptions and needs of employees, understanding and valuing employee differences. * Lead and/or participate in the planning and execution of entity-wide employee activities (summer picnic, holiday party, etc.). * Question current HR practices to evaluate priorities and focus. * Encourage, model, exemplify and promote teamwork; reinforce a positive and productive work * environment. * Maintain solid knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and business practices * related to healthcare Human Resources; as well as remain current on all state and federal labor laws * Prepare monthly or quarterly report of HR operations for entity supported and present to entity * leadership and the Sr. HRBP for the campus being supported. * Ensure HR department readiness for survey by the accreditation agency for the entity being * supported. * Champion entity participation in various system initiatives (engagement survey, ePDP, Learning * Suite, PWP, etc.); ensuring employee awareness, understanding and successful completion. * Ensure various HRIS reports (payroll audit, reports to, I-9 compliance, active employee) are * reviewed, and any issues or errors corrected. * Perform various compliance audits annually (I-9, OIP, sanction check, survey readiness, etc.) and resolve issues, seeking assistance or guidance as necessary. * Round regularly with entity leadership and employees.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. * Should possess 3-5 years of progressively responsible HR management experience in a hospital setting. * Business partnership and financial acumen (able to translate the impact of HR solutions to * measurable business results). * Effective communications and collaborative problem solving strategies to prevent or resolve * employee relations issues. * Interest and aptitude for project and change management, specifically the ability to build * organizational capability and effectiveness through HR solutions * Strong time management and priorities management skills. * Superior PC skills in a Windows environment (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email programs.
