Advanced Practice Solutions is a healthcare staffing and placement firm that provides professional Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with exceptional opportunities across the U.S. This is a long term locum position with the potential to go perm for a PA / Physician Assistant with at least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant in Heart Transplant, Ventricular Assist Devise (VAD) or ICU

* PA / Physician Assistant will assess and manage chronic disorders in Heart Transplant candidates and recipients, including routine anticipated problems for specific chronic Heart disease and diabetes mellitus * PA / Physician Assistant will work with common acute conditions, such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, weight loss, dizziness, fever, skin problems secondary to medications or immunosuppression * PA / Physician Assistant will work with chronic conditions including diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, hypertension, depression, malnution and family dysfunction * PA / Physician Assistant will review established medication regiments, bowel regimens, etc.

* Clear PA Licensure * One year of transplant experience preferred but not required * Demonstrated ability to function both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals * Highly developed clinical, communication and interpersonal skills essential * Active California Licensure * Master s Degree * MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 year of experience in heart transplant, VAD, or ICU
