Senior Backend Engineer

AdRoll’s Attribution Team at is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to develop a data pipeline designed to clearly exhibit the value of AdRoll’s marketing platform, and all it provides for the client’s bottom line. You will join a ground floor effort, working closely with a small team of engineers and product managers, to implement complex attribution models in order to give clients granular insights into their customer’s actions and pathway to conversion. If you are a backend engineer who loves big data, then you will be a great fit for this position. In this role, you will be a first hire on a team with a mission to build out a massive data processing pipeline over terabytes of daily generated data. You will work with AWS infrastructure to power mapreduce jobs yielding insights into how AdRoll’s advertising platform directly leads to customer purchase events. You with our data science team to help them develop models against our attribution data set in order to yield insights into what marketing mixes lead the greatest results for our diverse client base.

**Qualifications:** * Computer Science degree * 3+ years working in professional backend development * Experience with data pipelines and map reduce frameworks * Experience with (or willingness to master) our stack, in order of importance: Python, Docker, and AWS **Bonus Points:** * Contributions to the open source community * Experience in a low level programming language and optimization
