Senior Front End Engineer

The company leverages a footprint of 1 trillion page views yearly to power their unique offering.

AddThis is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

You should have be comfortable implementing user interfaces in close collaboration with an Agile team. You should be able to code in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for responsive display, as well as leverage frameworks like Bootstrap to increase productivity. You’ll need to be a solid team player and confident in your communication skills required for daily meetings, weekly planning and client interaction.

* Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience. * Experienced in prototyping and implementing user interfaces for web-based applications, preferably in responsive/mobile-first frameworks. * Ability to hand code clean HTML5, CSS3 (including functional experience with CSS animations) and JavaScript to a near pixel-perfect state for responsive display from Photoshop or Omnigraffle files. * Experience with Bootstrap, github, and other frameworks and libraries. * Strong knowledge of web-based fonts, user interfaces, usability, accessibility and device/cross-browser testing. * Experience working within a fast-paced Agile team. * Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken English. * Entrepreneurial spirit - with an eager attitude to learn, test and improve.
