Summary
adaQuest is looking for a motivated and experienced IT Project Manager in Seattle, WA. The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple concurrent projects to completion and delivering high quality business solutions on time and within budget. They are able to follow a project management methodology to initiate, plan, execute, control and close out projects. Projects may be small, medium or large and cover a wide range of solutions including, but not limited to, software development, package implementation, application integration and business process improvement.
Responsibilities
* Leads all IT project activities; project initiation, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact projects, ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained. * Manage cross-departmental project teams and activities, deriving status updates from team members and delivering meaningful status updates at weekly project meetings. * Creates project reporting and metrics for IT Management. * Ensures that realistic estimates of cost, duration and resource requirements are agreed to. Monitors projects against these criteria, taking corrective action as necessary. * Performs risk assessments and develops risk mitigation and contingency plans throughout the life of the project. Leads problem resolution as issues arise. * Establishes controls and structure which monitor the successful completion of milestones and deliverables. * Leads one or more project teams while motivating team members; allocates and monitors tasks. * Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and stakeholders. * Initiates change management efforts when changes in project scope are identified. * Identifies and resolves conflicts, impediments, and issues within the project team(s). * Ensures that all project related documentation is created following defined standards. * Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized project meetings and presentations across business teams. * Manages the expectations of all project stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business/Economics or Associates degree and equivalent work experience * 4+ years IT project management including software development, package implementation, application integration * Proven experience managing full system implementations and web-based software development projects utilizing .NET and SQL * CFR 21 Part 11 Compliance experience is preferred **Skills:** * Familiarity will project related documents such as project charters, project plans, requirements specifications, test plans and implementation plans etc. * Expert at using Microsoft Project * Strong expertise in SDLC methodologies, including waterfall and agile environments
