Summary
As a Product Marketing Manager at Adaptive, you will work with Marketing to define product solutions for the entire Adaptive product platform and transfer that knowledge to the Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams. You will have the opportunity of interpreting customer and market needs and turning them into reality.
Responsibilities
* Product Positioning & Development – Customer interface: work directly with prospects and customers to define solutions for their applications and develop new products. 1. Create internal positioning documents that will be used to develop and project manage the life of a product.) 2. Create business cases and product requirement documents to create a pipeline of new ideas based on each of our market needs. * Product Launch - Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Leverage project management tools like Microsoft Project. * Competitive Landscape – Identify and evaluate competitive products to assess their strengths, weakness, pricing, and go-to market approach in order to develop a winning strategy against them. This strategy will influence our product roadmap which will impact long term results as well as create positioning for the sales team to impact short term results. * Market Intelligence - Stay abreast of market trends in order to position Adaptive's solutions and technologies properly. Deepen our customer relationships in order to drive the right solution. * Sales and Marketing Enablement - Be the expert with our products and understand how our customers would benefit and transfer that knowledge to the sales and marketing channels with the right tools. Work closely with marketing to ensure product rollout and help drive sales strategy planning to win new business. Help execute external messages such as sales demo presentations, contribute information to marketing for website content and marketing collateral. * Leadership - Build a solid internal approach to product marketing and development.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 3-5 years professional diversified industry experience in either technical product marketing or technical product management * Proven track record in crafting and delivering compelling product positioning * Proficient in tools for product development/deployment, product lifecycle management, and product marketing concepts * BS or BA degree; Marketing/Technical preferred * Demonstrable experience and past success developing and executing product marketing plans * Prior experience creating product requirement documents, business cases, product road mapping, new product conceptualization * Experience in MS Office Project Suite, Excel, Product Road Mapping & CRM * Excellent oral and written communications skills * Applications Engineering experience is a plus * Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor * Must work well in highly collaborative, matrix and team oriented environment * Enthusiastic, hands-on * Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic)
