Summary
Analyst role requires extensive analytical, data product and business skills applied through the execution of data including, development, and creation of data content for use in data products and solutions. Analysts are responsible for data analysis, reporting, and technology implementations using industry leading principles, methodologies, and programs. These analytic activities are typically product or solution based designed for use by many clients or the focus of a single client who requires custom research and data development to solve a specific business problem. The Analyst is a thought leader who is innovative and logical and aware of current privacy/compliance laws and one who has the ability to participate and contribute to all facets of the data life cycle either independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Focused on mid-to short range projects. * Manages the creation and delivery of pre-defined deliverables to other internal teams or to external clients. * Develops project plans to complete work assigned by more Senior Analyst. * Construct segmentation and statistical data solutions, using CHAID, cluster analysis, and modeling techniques such as Logistic and Linear regression. * Design and produce standard and ad hoc client reports and deliverables, such as profile analyses, RFM analysis, and cross-tabulation reports. * Build descriptive and predictive marketing models using standard statistical software and proprietary Acxiom tools and/or SAS. * Perform exploratory data analysis and basic data manipulation to audit and assess data quality. * Delivers projects on time and with high quality. * Ensures all the necessary documentation is prepared. * Validates business rules prior to delivery to clients.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Computer Science) or related degree programs and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience. * Mid-level knowledge of data quality, database concepts, analysis, and rule/code development. * Proficiency in data manipulation and skills needed for the utilization of appropriate software for analysis. * Mid-level knowledge of appropriate software for data management, modeling or analysis (SAS/SPSS/etc). * Critical thinking – capable of generating consistently accurate, useful reports as well as enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight relevant to marketing program activities. * Strong quantitative and research skills and proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities in terms of reporting and dashboards. * Data Analysis: Experience with data processing, manipulation, and ad-hoc query activities; accurately executes the analytical methodology for model development and/or analysis without supervision. * Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality, client-ready work for multiple projects across several client engagements while meeting deadlines. * Data Preparation: Experience collecting and structuring data according to the analytic project plan requirements with minimal supervision; ability to execute a data assessment to identify data anomalies within the data; understands the structure of the data as it relates to the analytical solution.
