Design Engineer

* Develop specifications and designs to meet new market opportunities or improve existing products. * Lead in the design, development, testing and field validation for new and/or modified products. * Produce engineering documents to include assembly drawings, installation drawings, service documents, and engineering test specifications. * Investigate new technologies that can be effectively applied to Power-Packer market applications. * Initiate and perform lab testing to ensure that the product being developed will meet customer expectations. * Provide technical support to field service staff on product installations to ensure installations conform to appropriate product application. * Analyze field failures, resolving technical related issues

* Develop specifications and designs to meet new market opportunities or improve existing products. * Lead in the design, development, testing and field validation for new and/or modified products. * Produce engineering documents to include assembly drawings, installation drawings, service documents, and engineering test specifications. * Investigate new technologies that can be effectively applied to Power-Packer market applications. * Initiate and perform lab testing to ensure that the product being developed will meet customer expectations. * Provide technical support to field service staff on product installations to ensure installations conform to appropriate product application. * Analyze field failures, resolving technical related issues **Requirements:** * BS - Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field. * 3-5 years design experience with specific experience in the area of hydraulic cylinders. * Experience applying strength of materials principles to the design of structure fabrications. * Experience with principles of welding and their specifications to the design of structural components. * Experience applying principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. * Experience using software such as SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drafting purposes. * Travel occasionally required, mostly within North America.
