Ace Hardware, incorporated in 1927 as Ace Stores Inc., was founded to provide a centralized purchasing organization to supply the founders' and members' stores.
The primary responsibilities of the sales associates are to maintain amazing customer service, generate sales, merchandise product and support the store management team.
- Provide amazing customer service at all times
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
- Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
- Responsive of safety issues
- Conscious of shoplifting activity
- Solicit customers to join our Ace Rewards membership program
- Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policies
- Answer incoming phone calls per store policy
- Possess strong communication skills to communicate with customers, co-workers and management
- Have a willingness to learn a wide variety of products
- Participate in all store training programs
- Be proficient at executing all store services, such as mixing paint, cutting keys, screen
- Be alert for shoplifting activity and take action as per store policy
- Know and be able to perform a cashier duty as needed
- Use of common sense and good judgment at all times
- Perform other tasks as assigned by store management
