Accounting Principals is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist job in North East Indianapolis, IN. You will be performing all accounts payable functions for the company, ensuring all invoices are matched in the system and all accounts are properly paid. You will ensure that all invoices are posted to the appropriate systems to provide accurate management reports. This position works closely with the Accounting, Finance, Supply Management, and Receiving.

* Matching vendor invoices with system generated receiving reports to check the quantity received with the quantity invoices. * Ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained, ensuring correct general ledger accounts are used, and enters invoices to the Accounts Payable system (SAP) for payment. * Communicate with Vendors, Supply Management, Transportation, and various plants to resolve invoice discrepancies. * Research & reconcile all paperwork and phone calls from vendors to ensure proper payment. * Ensure that invoices processed meet internal controls. * Prepare checks for vendor payments to ensure accurate payments within vendor terms. * Match accounts payable accounts to correct invoices.

* 2 to 3 years of AP experience * Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook. Ability to use Pivot Tables & V Lookups. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to formulate questions to help further learning of job duties
