Summary
The Medical Director, Clinical Solutions and Strategy is responsible for developing and driving successful clinical relationships with Accolade’s Customers, strategic partners, sales prospects, health plan partners and consultants. The role will work to represent Accolade’s clinical model, comprehensive solution and clinical outcomes with external partners and in the marketplace. Additionally, this role works with the Chief Medical Officer and other key stakeholders to ensure internal alignment of clinical strategy with development, execution and delivery to maximize Accolade’s clinical impact and assure that clients get the right care at the right time. The Medical Director, Clinical Solutions and Strategy will work with Accolade’s Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Leadership to develop, define and articulate a vision of clinical service delivery that is reflective of Customer needs and marketplace demands. The role reports directly to Accolade’s Chief Medical Officer and works collaboratively with Field Operations, Product and Operations leaders to ensure comprehensive development and delivery of Accolade’s care management, case management and disease management solutions.
Responsibilities
* Supports the efforts of the Field Operations team, including Sales, Customer Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing and Product Marketing to secure Accolade’s competitive position in the marketplace. * Collaborates with the Product Management team to support clinical solution design and product development which is aligned with our clinical strategy. * Supports our Clinical team in conjunction with Accolade’s Medical Directors to provide ongoing support and education around complex clinical concerns, rounding, clinical analytics and reporting, as needed. * Works and collaborates with our VP, Clinical Operations and VP, Customer Operations as key stakeholders in product, process, and tool design to ensure alignment with broad clinical strategy.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications & Experience** * MD with unrestricted medical license * 7+ years progressive experience in health care administration/operations & managing clinical processes and teams * Highly proficient in business applications (excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and reporting applications * Demonstrated experience with complex data analysis (i.e.: trend analysis, root cause analysis, etc.) * Management of Clinical Operational teams & people development preferred * Demonstrated tactical strength and strategic thinking * Excellent communication, organizational and consultative skills * Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, evolving environment * Outstanding project management capabilities, excellent presentation skills, strong planning and decision-making skills, demonstrated analytical, problem solving skills * Ability to travel regularly between Plymouth Meeting, PA, Scottsdale, AZ and Seattle, WA sites, as well as other locations for customer meetings, as needed. **Desired Personal Characteristics:** * Operates from a perspective of truly caring about our clients and creating value for them * Data-driven and fact-based: focused on getting to the best answer for our clients and our shareholders * Detail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, problem-solving in nature * Proven ability to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and make a contribution quickly * A team player capable of working effectively with individuals throughout the organization
