Summary
Maintenance team members perform efficient, cost-effective troubleshooting and repair of production and facility related equipment. They are responsible for assisting to maintain maximum uptime on all manufacturing equipment. There is currently one opening on Second Shift. Please note that applicants must be open to working any shift and must be able to work required overtime.
Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting to maintain maximum uptime on all manufacturing equipment; performs efficient, cost-effective troubleshooting and repair of production and facility related equipment; experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair - excellent use of electrical testing equipment and ability to read electrical prints; excellent knowledge of mechanical to electrical component interfacing; working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC's); good mechanical ability with sound working knowledge of intricate machine tolerance; ability to electrically troubleshoot equipment and good knowledge of motor control logic; sound machining skills inclusive of lathe, mill and surface grinder; ability to identify machine problems or errors, generate solutions and improve efficiency; attention to safety and detail, flexibility (shift and overtime); ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ideal Candidate
* Excellent ability to electrically troubleshoot equipment and excellent knowledge of motor control logic. * Good working knowledge and safety of Radio Frequency (RF, Heat seal equipment) desired. * A sense of urgency to get critical equipment up and running to avoid downtime. * Demonstrate ability to problem solve and the ability to do root cause analysis. * Capable of learning PC based SAP and Maintenance Information System. * Must be team oriented, quality and safety conscious. * Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions * Evidence of excellent attendance. * Evidence of good working relationship with other employees. * High School Diploma or GED required. * Previous maintenance experience in a paper converting manufacturing facility is preferred. * A 2-year certification from an accredited Trade School a plus. * Three or more years of experience as an Electrician in an industrial setting. * Working knowledge of electrical circuitry, schematics, PLC’s, and other control equipment * Local Candidates only
