Summary
To Formulate and implement test automation strategy
Responsibilities
* Responsible for establishing the test automation strategies and processes. * Responsible for the analysis, design, creation, execution, and maintenance of automation framework. * Responsible for evaluating and recommending test strategies for ABB Enterprise Software product suite. * Responsible for maintaining the automated test scripts to meet the release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality assurance considerations. * Responsible for evaluating ABB Enterprise Software applications with both open source and the industry standard automated testing tools to provide tool recommendations. * Work proactively with the product development teams to understand how changes in the software product impact the automated test scripts. * Responsible for converting manual test plans to automated test scripts.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent * Strong testing skills – include the ability to create, execute, and document detailed test strategies, test plans and test cases. * 5 to 7 years of automation experience using industry standard automated testing tools like QTP, SilkTest, IBM Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, Telerik TestStudio. * Experience with unit, functional, performance, and scalability testing. * Expert-level understanding of test automation and QA processes. * Strong knowledge of the Windows and UNIX environments. * Functional knowledge of web servers, application servers like JBoss, WebSphere and WebLogic, middleware, and relational databases like Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. * Functional knowledge of Windows/Unix scripting, SQL, Java programming to develop scripts/programs to help creation of data sets, automated test-suites, validation of data in the database, etc. * Able to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules * Good problem solving skills * Ability to identify and document problems and clearly communicate their resolution
