Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will coordinate with various locations and departments to process full-cycle payroll for company employees and retirees. The incumbent will work in compliance with internal policies as well as Federal and State laws and regulations.

* Prepare and process monthly pension payroll and support semi-monthly salaried payroll for U.S. employees * Validate and submit periodic payroll tax reporting for employees and retirees * Manage and generate quarterly tax filing to ADP for U. S. business units * Participate in testing and completing payroll and tax system updates * Handle pension payroll customer service calls * Prepare reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including tax payments and benefit plan disbursements * Process and distribute year end reporting including employee W-2’s and 1099R’s * Support Kronos timekeeping system * Perform other activities as needed or as directed.

* 3-5 years of related work experience (SAP Payroll is preferred) * Associate or Bachelor's degree, Accounting preferred, or equivalent work experience. * Knowledge of FLSA and other payroll regulations * Previous experience balancing and processing payroll * Payroll tax regulation and administration knowledge * Detail oriented with strong analytical skills * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines * Proficient in use of MS Office, especially MS Excel, Word, and Outlook * Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to employees at all levels * Maturity and discretion in handling highly confidential information * Willingness to work on a team and demonstrate sound interpersonal skills
