Summary
a.i. solutions, Inc., is looking for a project manager with experience leading teams of software developers, systems engineers, or multi-disciplined engineers such as those on spacecraft flight operations teams. This project manager would ideally be a leader who possesses the ethics, experience, and charisma to gain the confidence of a high-performing team of technical staff members in addition to his/her management peers.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership and project management support in the areas of spacecraft and mission systems engineering, mission design and analysis, ground system development, or operations * Develop and execute an overall project management plan incorporating schedule, staffing, risks, cost, quality, and configuration management * Develop relationships with the customer and team members to ensure delivery of our corporate promise * Manage effective communications between customer, team, peers, and senior management * Support requirements development, analysis, and management * Perform staffing actions including hiring, transfers, and performance reviews * Execute Task Order change request processes, including modifications to value or support requirements * Ensure tactical project management plans align with larger-scale strategic goals of the mission and company * Promote corporate culture and foster an environment of collaboration and innovation within the team * Identify and develop opportunities for technical or business process improvement * Set clear expectations and assist staff with professional development and self-growth * Participate in corporate initiatives and business development, opportunity capture, and/or proposal generation efforts * Grow and leverage professional network within the aerospace and government contracting industry
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in technical degree; higher-level education desirable * 5+ years of experience in an aerospace engineering related field, with 1+ years of experience in project management desirable * Experience with project management tools such as RASCI and Microsoft Project * Understanding of NASA engineering and technical processes (e.g., NPRs, GPRs, DOORS) * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Highly organized and attentive to details * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired * U.S. Citizenship
