Summary
At 99 Cents Only Stores, LLC, we are recruiting talented individuals for the position of Director, Asset Protection.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement asset protection policies, strategies, including scrap and shrink programs to increase profitability and reduce incidents that erode profits within stores * Accountable for the direct supervision of the work activities of asset protection team which can include our distribution centers and warehouses. Responsibilities include selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates * Oversee use of all Asset Protection tools, technology & programs including CCTV, POS Exception Reporting, LP Software, and alarm passcodes, safe combinations, security passwords, and other security control changes when necessary or as directed * Assist in the development and presentation of Asset Protection awareness seminars, meetings and training programs that drive change and execute process improvements * Administer and manage Asset Protection audits to create awareness, detect areas of vulnerability and/or violations of policies * Identify all areas of asset protections risks and provide recommendations for minimization and remediation * Provide direction, coaching and support with the investigation of suspected internal and external dishonesty, fraud, and known crimes at locations where needed * Monitor, analyze, and follow-up on statistical data related to inventory or cash losses * Maintain knowledge of Asset Protection trends, laws and governmental compliance * May be required to assist with or oversee other Operations or Asset Protection related programs
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related discipline or equivalent experience * 8+ years of experience in Asset Protection (Retail and/or grocery experience preferred) * Knowledge of: Law as it pertains to Asset Protection activities, Interview/interrogation training and practical skills (Wicklander-Zulawski preferred). * Certified Protection Professional (Preferred) * Experience in supervision of associates * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent logical, analytical reasoning, and problem solving skills * Excellent organizational, motivational and interpersonal skills * Ability to travel moderately, sometimes with little or no notice * Proficient with Microsoft office Programs
