Accounts Payable Clerk

* Matching packing slips to purchase orders; checking quantity, part numbers, etc. to ensure accuracy and to ensure that purchase orders have been properly invoiced. If necessary, following up with the billing department to resolve any invoicing issues; * Entering approved invoices into the RW/MAS systems on a daily basis; posting from RW to MAS daily, posting to MAS daily; and comparing accounts payable to the general ledger on a daily basis; * Reconciling statements from vendors to ensure that all invoices have been processed; * Paying invoices by generating checks or using electronic payment methods on a weekly basis; * Ensuring that all credit card invoices and utilities are paid on time; * Developing and maintaining all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files; * Handling new vendor setup; * Handling inquiries from employees or vendors regarding invoice payments; when necessary, make calls to vendors or employees to clarify invoice items, prices, general ledger coding, etc.; and * Performing other duties as assigned.

* At least 2-4 years of corporate accounts payable experience; * Advanced mathematical skills and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data; * Proficiency in maintaining a general ledger, performing reconciliations, cutting checks and supporting an accounting department; * Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel; * Experience with MAS 500 and RW is highly preferred; * Excellent problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills; * The ability to work well under pressure and meet exacting deadlines; * Must have at least an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major.
