Summary

As an SDR you’re likely to be one of the first to engage people who are exploring the 3scale solution or who might be interested in trying it. This first set of engagements is critical to prospects having a great experience and us finding the right solution to their challenges. You’ll be part of a sales team that includes other SDRs, Sales Executives, Sales Engineers and Account Managers. You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to engage with the engineering, support and marketing teams since we all work closely together.

Lastly, the role is also designed as a stepping-stone to more senior Sales Executive and other roles.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with inbound potential users of 3scale to understand their API plans, articulate 3scale’s solutions and help guide the customer on next steps.

  • Qualify prospects to determine if they might benefit from the product, need technical help or should be talking to others in the sales team.

  • Leverage technology to research accounts, prospects and determine who to talk to for a particular opportunity.

  • Communicate with junior and senior individuals by email and phone.

  • Close entry-level credit card sales.

  • Update interactions in Salesforce.com.

  • Provide feedback to product, sales and marketing teams on your observations of prospect needs and how messages are resonating.

Ideal Candidate
  • 1-3 Years of experience in B2B Inside sales roles. 1+ years of experience (ideally in a high tech company) Energetic, fearless attitude – comfortable in phone and email conversations.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and learn fast.

  • Technical aptitude to understand the basics of customers’ needs and the 3scale infrastructure solution.

  • Experience using Salesforce.com and other sales tools

  • BA/BS

  • Fluency in English along with excellent phone skills, phone etiquette, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
