3M is seeking a Technical Service Specialist for the Oral Care Solutions Division (OCSD) located in Maplewood, MN. Ready to be part of what’s next?

Oral Care Solutions Division is looking for a Senior Technical Service Engineer who is motivated and enthusiastic individual who wants to engage in the development, commercialization and sales support for innovative oral care solutions.

• Leads customer insight collection throughout the new product introduction process, through ethnography, focus groups and field evaluations, to make sure our new products excite and delight our customers
• Substantiates claims for new products using of statistical analysis on customer feedback
• Supports sales force, customer care center, and our customers when questions require deeper technical and clinical knowledge

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working either in a technical role on a commercialization team or as a Dental Hygienist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dental Hygiene, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: technical service, statistical analysis, customer insights collection, facilitating focus panels and/or new product commercialization process
• Skills include solid data analysis and statistical thinking; strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills
• Microsoft Office and Minitab proficient
• Interest in a position that includes regular travel to customer sites and/or trade shows
• Experience working on a cross functional team
