Quality Engineer

3M is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Commercial Solutions Division (CSD) located in Maplewood, MN. The person hired for the position of Quality Engineer will maintain and improve the necessary quality systems for CSD at the Maplewood site while providing guidance for related global manufacturing sites. This position will include working with corporate, division and site teams to learn the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) quality systems for preparation for the transition to SAP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) (e.g.eMatrix/Enovia). This position will include coordination of upgrading quality master data, consulting for division policy determinations and maintaining existing legacy systems prior to the official transition to SAP and PLM.

- Maintain and improve quality systems to support CSD development and manufacturing - Provide structure and support for the CSD Quality Management System - Consult and assist in document and process modifications for the transition from International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 to the ISO 9001:2015 version - Be the CSD ERP Super User for quality systems - Lead global alignment of CSD Quality processes - Lead CSD ERP Quality Management Module deployment - Develop and implement training modules for quality systems

**Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or Science from an accredited institution - Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a Quality, Laboratory and/or Manufacturing environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or Science from an accredited institution - Minimum of five (5) years of quality systems experience - Working knowledge of 3M systems including eMatrix, CFR, MDI (applies to internal applicants only) - ISO quality management system implementation experience - Experience working, coaching, and training - Results-oriented, self -motivated individual with proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet business needs - Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, technical writing, and cross-functional teamwork skills - Strong attention to detail and process/system orientation - Microsoft Office proficient
