Job Summary: Perform routine and non-routine Plant Engineering work as assigned. Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, service and repair plant and/or process equipment, facility support and material handling equipment. Provide fabrication and welding support. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and maintaining mechanical equipment, systems or processes on slitters, extruders, web systems, conveyors, winders, compressors, pumps, etc) 2. Machining and fabrication of parts. Support area like welding, brazing, rigging and tramming of equipment, and general building repair 3. Continue to upgrade skills and experience on new or advanced equipment and process technologies as relates to supporting routine and non-routine work assignments 4. Ability to use the Internet to find vendor / manufacturing information needed to service and repair equipment 5. Document maintenance and related functions using the CMMS computerized Shop Work Order System, electronic and manual log books, and Lotus Notes 6. Work with engineers, technicians or craft people during troubleshooting, repair or modify equipment, systems or processes 7. Contribute technical recommendations regarding the improvement or optimization of facility equipment and/or process equipment as needed

This position will require: - Working overtime - Weekend work - Working holidays as needed - Short notice call in - Working rotating shifts Basic Qualifications: - Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher - Possess an Associates degree in a technical discipline OR a minimum of five years experience in an industrial environment Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of window-based computer systems - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels of the organization - Self directed individual who can work alone - A minimum of three (3) years work experience in the mechanical maintenance field or as a service technician Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
