Design Engineer

The person hired for the position of Automotive Design Engineer will be tasked to provide automotive part nestings for quoting and production tool designs.

• Providing nestings for quoting new parts
• Developing production tool designs
• Ordering production tools from vendors
• Working closely with contract manufacturing suppliers regarding new production tools.
• Lead projects to improve processes related to drawings, nestings and production tools.
• Sharing key learnings, train and support 3M global organization
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering from an accredited university
• Previous NX CAD experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical engineering degree
• Experience in part nesting
• Experience in production tool design
• Experience in Automotive part design
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with rotary and flat bed converting
• Project management experience with proven capability to deliver with on-time results
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate changing circumstances
• Ability to work with conflicting, delayed or ambiguous information
