PTA (Cumberland Co. Area-FT)

3HC-Home Health & Hospice Care, Inc., is a leading local home health, hospice, and private duty provider serving eastern North Carolina.

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services to patients in the home, as prescribed by the attending physician and under the direct supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

* Assists the Licensed Physical Therapist in treating patients to relieve pain, and/or develop or restore * function and independence to maintain maximum performance. * Accurately records and reports the patient's reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the * patient's condition to supervisor. Writes progress notes on the date of the visit and incorporates in * McKesson and downloads / communicates visits twice daily. * Collaborates with Physical Therapist to meet 100% productivity. * Instructs patients and their families in the use of proshetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, * walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) and other treatment modelties as directed by the Licensed Physical * Therapist. * Attends staff meeting, rehab meetings and in-service programs. * Collaborates and communicates with other interdisciplinary team members, as necessary, to * ensure proper scheduling and treatment of patients. * Attends staff meeting, rehab meetings and in-service programs. * Collaborates and communicates with other interdisciplinary team members, as necessary, to * ensure proper scheduling and treatment of patients. * Assists with orientation of new staff, as needed. * Attends the appropriate hours of inservice as required. * Adheres to the Agency's personnel policies and Compliance Plan. * Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. * Displays a high degree of courtesy, tact, and knowledge of services provided by the agency in all * contact with staff, patients, and visitors.

* Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum. * One-year of clinical experience preferred. * Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant currently licensed to practice phyiscal therapy in North Carolina. * Maintain current CPR certification (BCLS)
