Enterprise Architect

32 Solutions Ltd is a Colorado-based executive search firm specializing in mid to executive level positions for technical roles. We opened our doors in 2008 and although we’ve grown, we continue to be a small, focused, specialty search firm.

The Enterprise Software Architect will provide hands-on architecture leadership, guidance and mentoring to the engineering teams, be a close collaborator and trusted advisor to the Director of Software Development, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust and scalable solutions. We are looking for a seasoned architect who has experience building new applications from scratch, as well as the ability to effectively refactor and integrate existing applications and strong understanding of how to scale platforms and services to high volumes of transactions on a global scale.

* Develop and own technology road-map of services and platforms to tackle scalability and growth needs * Develop and communicate enterprise technology road-map, standards and policies * Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology * Stay abreast of the latest technology infrastructure and processes in the industry and marketplace * Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans * Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions * Be an evangelist and strong communicator of the architectural blueprints of our product to mobilize the rest of the organization to build solutions that fit our customer’s needs * Provide thought leadership input into new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business * Actively find ways to improve the software platform, including new libraries, technologies and tools

* BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience * 10+ years’ experience in hands-on software development and delivery * 3+ years in an architect role in previous large scale software development projects, preferably SaaS delivery model * Track record that includes the design and release of high quality, high performance enterprise applications at high volumes, on global scale * Thorough knowledge of design technologies and tools * Experience performing design, and code reviews to ensure that the developers adhere to the specified guidelines * Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business * Ability to translate highly complex technical matters into easily digestible and actionable plans * Ability to foster open communications across various organizational levels * Experience with cloud computing solutions
