Summary
The Global Product Marketing Manager is a hybrid role of product management and product marketing responsibilities. This position is responsible for the growth, new product funnel, and profitability goals of a laboratory and portable turbidity products. This is a great opportunity to manage the strategic marketing plan for both legacy profitable products and new products.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategy for the Product Group - Prioritize New Product Development (NPD) projects within the portfolio. Influences key stakeholders and leaders throughout the business to adopt strategy and gather necessary resources for delivery of strategic plan. **Growth** - Develop and deploy commercial plans for the global organization focusing on the regional needs of customers. - Analyze revenue and profit performance of the Product Group in liaison with regional commercial support. - Work with regional sales to identify product needs to develop countermeasures to increase sales in the region. - Drive promotional and web activities through the regional marketing organizations to ensure products are properly represented and positioned. - Recommend pricing and marketing activities for their product portfolio. - Own Key Performance Indicator (KPI) revenue and profitability targets, including, driving to root cause, creating countermeasures and action plans to ensure success. - Lead competitive analysis and research. **New Product Development** - Drive the product commercialization strategy of a breakthrough new product. - Lead the creation and execution of continuous Voice of the Customer (VOC) plans. - Develop comprehensive business cases including financials and VOC that supports the development of a new product. - Coordinate product development needs
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in a chemistry or business field; MBA preferred - 2+ years of product management experience; product marketing experience preferred - Experience in large, global instrumentation organization is a plus - Knowledge of water analysis is helpful, but not required - Able to empathize with customers, translating needs into products. - Basic understanding of classical marketing, including 4Ps, marketing mix, product WOWs, demand creation plans - Basic understanding of product financial analysis, including product pricing, product costing, gross margin, inventory value, and inventory turns
