User Experience Designer

In this freelance role you will take initiative, craft deliverables that impact projects, and think both strategically and functionally while assisting and learning from more seasoned team members.

* • Work in cross-functional teams to develop effective Information Architecture and Interaction Design for websites and tablet/mobile apps * • Support and participate in Usability testing activities. Understand user testing options and how to use results to improve the user experience * • Help create deliverables such as wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps, use cases, and high-level architecture diagrams that serve as a guide for the content, creative and technology teams to implement * • Assist in analyzing content, user goals, business needs and other sources of information to help define the User Experience * • Understand website analytics as they relate to User Experience * • Provide exceptional client service and work to ensure that all efforts effectively and directly address client needs

* Demonstration of user experience for the web and tablet/mobile apps * Deep understanding of information design and usability methods * Graphic design, programming knowledge are pluses. * Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment * Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal, and problem solving skills * Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Science, Library Science, or related field
