Senior iOS Developer

1stdibs is the world’s largest online luxury marketplace for one-of-a-kind products. It has become the go-to source for the world's leading interior designers and consumers to find antiques, vintage furniture, jewelry, vintage fashion and fine art.

We are currently seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to join our Engineering team based in NYC. The Mobile Developer will be contributing to the strategy, development, and design of our new mobile apps. Experience within fast-paced consumer-facing brands is a must.

* Develop new features in our suite of iOS apps * Architect tools, utilities and reusable components for other developers on the team to use * Monitor problems, diagnose, track down and fix bugs * Review code written by others to spot problems and ensure quality * Write unit tests to ensure consistent results where appropriate * Mentor less experienced members of the mobile team * Assist in the design process by making suggestions and addressing practicality of designs * Focus on applications targeted towards consumers, designers, as well as dealers within the luxury goods industry * Develop, prototype, and test new ideas, and remain at the forefront of mobile technology trends

* Minimum 3-4 years of experience building native iOS applications - less if you have MacOS development experience * At least one high-usage app in the App Store or several non-trivial, professional apps * Ableto architect and develop clean, reusable, maintainable code in Objective C and Swift * Ableto troubleshoot and fix performance bottlenecks * Experience creating custom UI and animations on iOS * Experience writing and debugging multi-threaded code * Experience with source code management - preferably git * Familiarity/comfort with Swift
